なんだろう？と思いますよね。
実はSkype in the Classroomは世界中のクラスと繋がることのできるとても素敵なプラットフォームです。

You might not be able to picture what this means.
“Skype in the classroom“ is an amazing platform where teachers from around the world can connect their classrooms with collaborative projects.
1月から今日にかけてPBLのクラスではCountries and Culturesがテーマでした。
日本を含めいろんな国のFestivalsについて学び、ビデオや読み物、工作などを取り入れとても楽しい学びとなりました。
各国で行われている新年の祝い方、4カ国で祝われているお月見祭り、イタリアのチョコレートとジェラートのお祭り、そして旧正月について。とても面白かったですね。
In the PBL class, we were learning about festivals around the world as the theme was Countries and Cultures. We learnt about the different ways of celebrating New Years around the world, the moon festival which is celebrated in 4 different countries, Italian chocolate and gelato festivals and about the Chinese New Year festival. We read stories, passages, watched videos and made some crafts too which related to the festivals.
今回はそれに加えて2カ国のクラスとコラボし、
日本のお祭りについての紹介をしたり、その国についてのプレゼンテーションも聞くことができました。
今回、コラボレーションに参加いただいた国はイスラエルの学校とモロッコの学校でした。
In addition, we collaborated with 2 different countries so that we could introduce Japanese festivals and also listen to presentations about the countries.
This time we were happy to collaborate with schools in Israel and Morocco.
モロッコのスクールの生徒さん達は、私たちがどこの国から電話をかけているか秘密にしていたので、当てるために「はい/いいえ」の質問をし合いました。
In the Skype session with Morocco, the teacher kept it a secret where we were from so we had to ask yes-no questions to figure out each other’s country.
私たちのクラスの子供達はおりがみを見せたり、日本の食べ物について話しました。
なかなかイスラエルとモロッコの子供達と話す機会はないので、とても楽しかったです！

We also showed some origami work and talked about Japanese food.
It was nice to talk with 2 different countries. The children really enjoyed listening to the presentations of each country too.
